Pakeezah

yes, i remember this hindi movie Pakeezah ... the year 1972 released, Raj Kumar, Meena Kumari starrer in which are immortalised "Aap ke paon dekhe, bahut haseen hai. Inhe zameen par mat utariyega, maile ho jayenge" ... and no, this post has nothing to do with it !!!!

I was writing to my friend poo ... abt something that was cooking between us ;-) ... this is wat i was thinking then !!!
Dil ko lubhati hai, kyun yeh duriyaan,
Kyun lagte hai begane, apno ki parchaiyaan…
Dil ki yeh yaari hai, pakeezah,
Phir kyun kehte hai log ise, gair ya gunaah…
Translated, it goes as...
Why does my heart, still love the distant,
When the shadows of the ones near, go unseen…
This friendship in my heart is pure and sacred,
Then why does the world call it names… and a sin it’s considered…
If you liked it, let me know why??? and if you know, you are the one its written for, then please reply ....
luv,
manoj.

[kudos to Vimal for this excellent creation.... ]

Synopsis : The twin beaches of Harihareshwar and Sriavrdhan offer an idyllic picnic spot just 4 hours from Mumbai. The beaches are clean and one can enjoy a kinda private beach getaway. Ideal duration of the trip is 2 days. Do visit the Diwe Agar 'Suwarna Mukh (golden) ganpati' temple. The route from Srivardhan to Diwe Agar runs parallel to the shore line for quite a length and is pleasant to watch. Adequate accomodation is available in the villages in case you are unable to book your acco beforehand. Definitely recommended for large groups and families wanting to chill it out by the waves !!!!
